Born into a happy family, supported to attend kindergarten, primary school and secondary school. Left home at 15 to live in supported accommodation, with limited access to social, educational, vocational, and recreational opportunities.

It started as a dream ...

A country homestead on 10 acres covered with old gum trees full of birds, surrounded by vast fields of wheat and rice crops

A beautiful river with sandy beaches, old red gum trees and a vast expansive national park.

A guest house less than than 100m from the homestead

A small town full of people who care.

MAKING FRIENDS

Happy People Helping People is a story about people from Jay Nolan Community Services in Los Angeles.

Christmas Greeting from Luke  was a silly little video prepared by "Luke's Angels" - a bunch of girls from IEC who managed to teach him many things in the years 2007 - 2009. Perhaps most significantly, with the use of a "stress thermometer", they helped him understand many of his own moods and feelings, and they taught him to "count to ten" when he was feeling "angry".
